I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix . I/ ]/ u9 ]: n) h1 \) b6 Q& x8 p" s$ u* t& m d
